Frederik Fabel

Frederik Fabel started his DJ journey in 1995, diving deep into Detroit acid techno records. He's eternally grateful to the local shop owner (the Goa dude) who helped him discover and understand the foundations of electronic music. This early education shaped his deep appreciation for authentic, underground production.

A pivotal moment came in 2006 when Frederik experienced FWD>> live. The bassweight and energy of that legendary dubstep night profoundly rattled his chest and redirected his musical focus. This experience was transformative, opening new sonic territories that would influence his sound for years to come.

From 2007 to 2009, Frederik became an integral part of legendary dubstep nights in Switzerland. Playing to five people and a dog at intimate underground venues, he helped build a devoted community around the emerging dubstep sound. These sessions, though small in attendance, had outsized cultural impact in the Swiss underground.

Over time, Frederik shifted his focus to house and garage, as well as various other musical endeavours. This evolution wasn't a rejection of his past, but rather a natural progression as his taste matured. He brought the technical precision of techno and the darkness of dubstep to everything he touched.

In 2008, Frederik co-founded the infamous Spiegelkiste collective and the lifechanging Bimmele movement. These projects became vehicles for his vision of music and culture—spaces where fresh, honest, and original dance music thrived. Both collectives remain active testaments to his commitment to underground culture.

At his core, Frederik is a firm supporter of fresh, honest, and original dance music. He's a house head and committed crazy dancer forever, at least until he dies. Deep underground is his home, and he's all about the music, the culture, and the vibe—always striving to make it sound better.
